Guidelines and Process
​
Our association and the NCHSAA annually recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the betterment of volleyball officiating in the Western Piedmont area of North Carolina. This person has distinguished themselves through the following (but not limited to): Demonstrates leadership, mentors other officials, and excels in/on the court of volleyball.
Nomination Guidelines:

This person has distinguished themselves through the following (but not limited to):
-
Serving as a significant leader
-
Excelling on the volleyball court
-
Assisting and mentoring other officials
-
Displays outstanding support of other officials, professionalism toward student athletes, coaches, and other school personnel that creates a positive influence of high school athletics.

Nomination Guidelines
-
Each year, the nomination period will be from November 1st – March 1st.

Using the nomination form, officials may nominate individuals who meet the above criteria.

Officials must have 5 years’ experience and have not received the award within the last 5 years.

Nominations will be submitted to Brenda Halford @ bhwestvb@gmail.com no later than March 1st.

A Committee of three officials will evaluate the nominations and select the award winner.

Award winner will be recognized prior to the annual NCHSAA State Volleyball Clinic with the recognition being made at this meeting each year.
